Fifteen years ago, Shonda Laughlin began her yoga practice at home to support her battles with depression and anxiety. She quickly fell in love with the practice and as a result, created more balance and a drastic reduction of stress in her life. Shonda returns to her mat consistently for the peace, stillness, and joy which she finds within that space. Yoga allowed her to discover the tools and techniques necessary to endure and succeed through many life challenges. Along the way, Shonda could not help but be inspired with a dream and a vision of supporting others to find the same.
Shonda is a registered 500 hour Unity Yoga Teacher. She has recently completed her 800 hour diploma as an Advanced Yoga Teacher & Healing Arts Practitioner through the award-winning Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. She is an advanced certified I AM Yoga Nidra™ Meditation practitioner under Kamini Desai, PHD. Additionally, Shonda has received specialized training in, Restorative Yoga under the teachings of Mary Bruce, and Yin Yoga with Duane Armitage. And is a Reiki Master Teacher.
As Shonda evolves with each practice, she continues to notice the world around her transforming including her home life, children and marriage. Her passion for teaching has inspired a desire to share and teach classes which promote feelings of calmness, tranquility and serenity as she guides all into a space for relaxation and transformation of the mind, body, and soul.
